Office of the President

Lecture Series

The president hosts several lecture series that further Brown's mission of education and research excellence.

The Stephen A. Ogden Jr. ’60 Memorial Lecture on International Affairs is one of Brown’s oldest and most prestigious lecture series. The lectures, which began in 1965, focus on pressing matters of global concern and have been delivered by world leaders, including heads of state, U.S. and international diplomats, policy makers and practitioners, and astute observers of the international scene.
The Presidential Faculty Award was established by President Christina H. Paxson in 2013 to recognize members of Brown’s distinguished faculty who are conducting especially important and innovative scholarship.
The Office of the President is pleased to sponsor special events for the Brown community.
The Community Conversations virtual webinar series was launched in Spring 2020 as a way to strengthen Brown’s campus and community in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.
