President's Leadership Council
The President’s Leadership Council is an advisory group of alumni, parents, and friends of the University. This important leadership group meets on campus in the fall and spring semesters to discuss issues and challenges, as well as the future direction and activities of Brown University.

Susan A. Buffum '74
Sue Buffum retired in 2016 after a 22-year career at MetLife where she was a Managing Director responsible for municipal bond investing for the firm. She previously worked for Travelers Insurance for twenty years before joining MetLife in 1994. After graduating from Brown with an AB in Mathematics/Economics, Sue earned an MBA in Finance from the University of Connecticut and also earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
Sue currently serves as a Vice President of the Class of 1974 and recently was Reunion and Reunion Gift Committee Co-Chair for her 50th reunion. She also serves on the Brown Annual Fund Leadership Council. She was Co-Chair for her 35th, 40th and 45th Reunion Gift Committees and also participated on her 25th and 30th Reunion Class Gift Committees. She previously served on the President’s Advisory Council on the College supporting Dean Rashid Zia as well as on the Women’s Leadership Council where she chaired the Philanthropy Advisory Group. In October 2006, the Brown Alumni Association honored her with an Alumni Service Award and in 2014 with the Brown Bear Award. In 2024 she was awarded the H. Anthony Ittleson Award by the Brown Annual Fund for her philanthropic volunteerism.
She currently resides in Sedona, Arizona where she sings in her church choir and serves on the church council as chair of the Finance, Endowment and Administration Ministry. Sue volunteers at the local public library and recently completed her term as President of the Board of Trustees of the Sedona Symphony, where she now serves on the Advisory Board.

Jason A. DiLullo '93, P'27
Jason A. DiLullo is president of Qatalyst Partners, a technology-focused independent strategic advisory firm headquartered in San Francisco and London. Mr. DiLullo, who became the firm’s president in 2016, was previously head of the firm’s semiconductor practice. Prior to joining Qatalyst in 2010, Mr. DiLullo was managing director and co-head of technology mergers and acquisitions for the Americas at Credit Suisse. Previously, he held positions at Deutsche Bank and Morgan Stanley. Mr. DiLullo is on the Advisory Council for Friends of the Children (Bay Area chapter).

Maithili A. Parekh '02
Maithili Parekh is an art historian with a focus on 16th–18th century Indian paintings of the Mughal and post Mughal period. Previously, Maithili was India country head and Director at Sotheby’s, the global auction house, from 2008-2013. Prior to this, she worked at Morgan Stanley in New York as a commodities trader.
Maithili serves on boards of a number of Indian not-for-profits and foundations that work with vulnerable children in need of care and protection, including her family’s foundation. Through this, she works closely with UNICEF, Tata Institute of Social Sciences and the Ministry for Child Welfare in India. Maithili serves on the board of Muktangan Education Trust in Mumbai, and is a founder member of Ashoka University.
Maithili earned her BA from Brown and an MSc in International Relations from the London School of Economics (LSE) in the UK.
Maithili has been a passionate champion for international students at Brown since 1998, when she founded the International Mentoring Program (IMP) and served as President of Brown International Organization (BRIO). She was also one of two student representatives on the President’s Advisory Committee for University Planning (ACUP) and the commencement speaker for her graduating Class of 2002. Maithili was awarded the Alfred H. Joslin Award for her leadership while at Brown. Maithili currently serves on the President’s College Advisory Council and the President’s Leadership Council at Brown.
Born and raised in India, Maithili currently lives between London and Mumbai with her family.

Ahmad Abu Ghazaleh P'24, P'26
Ahmad Abu Ghazaleh currently serves as the Chairman of United Cables Industries Company (UCIC), a Jordanian publicly traded company, a position he has held since 2013. Since 2003, he has served as the Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the International Wings Group including the Royal Jordanian Air Academy, Arab Wings, Queen Noor Technical College and Gulf Wings. He is also Founder and Executive Vice Chairman of Abdali Hospital in Amman, Jordan.
Ahmad currently serves on several boards of directors of private and public organizations including, Fresh Del Monte Produce (NYSE: FDP), Queen Rania Foundation, Endeavor Jordan, the American Center for Oriental Research (ACOR), Jordan’s Investment Council, the Center for Strategic Studies Jordan University, Mentor to Al Hussein Fellowship Program - The Crown Prince Foundation and Brown University President’s Leadership Council.
He served as the Chairman of National Poultry Company (NPC), a publicly traded company from 2017 to 2019 and was a Board member of Banque Misr Liban from 2018 to 2020. He also previously served on the boards of directors of Arab Pharmaceutical Company and Modern Pharma both publicly traded companies that he helped merge and subsequently sell to Hikma Pharmaceuticals (HIK:Lon).
Ahmad Abu Ghazaleh is the founder of the MMAG Foundation campus in Amman, a free art school, exhibition space and community center. He is an active member of several museum councils and advisory groups. -
Christian J. Anthony '96
Greenwich, CTChristian is currently the Co-CEO / Co-Founder of ListenFirst, the leading social media analytics SaaS solution for the world’s largest companies. Christian is a multi-time entrepreneur who has been at the forefront of technology and digital media for over two decades. He co-founded Insound.com and Special Ops Media, and served as CEO of LBi North America. Christian earned his AB in classics from Brown University. He is an active Advisor and Board member, currently serving on the Board of Directors for Venture For America and Civics Unplugged, and as an Advisor with Brown University’s President’s Advisory Council on Entrepreneurship and The Advisory Council on the College. He is a longtime member of the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO) Metro New York Chapter.

Chiamaka “Chichi” A. Anyoku '14
Cambridge, MAChiamaka “Chichi” A. Anyoku, a 2014 Brown graduate, is currently an MBA and MPP candidate at Harvard Business School and Harvard Kennedy School. Previously, she worked on New York Economic Development Corporation's real estate transactions team and A.T. Kearney's management consulting practice. Ms. Anyoku also worked at Cambridge Associates, where she advised universities and foundations with assets ranging from $40 million to over $3 billion. At Brown University, Ms. Anyoku received an AB in Economics and an AB in Latin American and Caribbean Studies. As an alum, she is an alumni interviewer and serves as a member of the GOLD (Graduates of the Last Decade) Participation Council. Ms. Anyoku is a Trustee Emerita of Brown University.

Harold Bailey III '03
Westport, CTHarold Bailey III is Head of Sales for Capital Markets Gateway (CMG), a financial technology firm that’s modernizing the Equity Capital Markets by connecting investors and underwriters via an integrated, neutral platform which enhances workflows and delivers market leading data and analytics. He’s currently responsible for formulating and implementing the firm’s strategic growth strategy in North America. Prior to CMG, Harold was a Managing Director and Head of Business Development for Liquidnet’s Research Exchange, a leading procurement platform and marketplace for asset managers to consume research. While at Brown, Harold was a member of the Varsity Basketball team and graduated as a dual major receiving an AB in Economics and History in 2003 and an MBA from Columbia Business School in 2012. He currently serves on the board of the Harlem Lacrosse and Leadership and is actively focused on developing initiatives to connect Brown alumni professionals in the tri-state area.

Sloan Lindemann Barnett '89, P'24
San Francisco, CASloan is the author of The End of Food Allergy which is a landmark book on preventing, diagnosing, and reversing food allergies. She is also the author of the NY Times best seller: Green Goes with Everything: Simple Steps to a Healthier Life and a Cleaner Planet.
Sloan has been a television and print journalist for more than fifteen years, appearing on-air as a consumer and green contributor to NBC’s Today Show in addition to being the consumer editor for the NBC affiliate in the San Francisco Bay Area. Sloan has also been a legal and consumer expert for Fox, CNN and ABC, and hosted women’s talk shows for Lifetime and Oxygen. She began her career as an Assistant District Attorney in Manhattan, New York and then went on to write a legal and consumer advice column for the New York Daily News for nearly a decade.
Barnett earned an AB from Brown in American Civilization and French Language, Literature and Culture, and a JD from NYU. She is a trustee of the NYU School of Law.

Yemi Benedict-Vatel
Yemi Benedict-Vatel '96 is a non-profit Board Director and philanthropy advisor. She is Vice Chair of the board of the New 42, a leading arts organization in New York City that provides world-class theatre performances, arts education programs, and space for creative communities. Yemi also serves on the Board of Trustees at the Kent Place School in Summit, New Jersey. She also sits on advisory councils at the University of Chicago and Choate Rosemary Hall. Yemi is a former elected Trustee of the Franklin Lakes Board of Education and of the Franklin Lakes Education Foundation.
She previously worked in private client philanthropy at J.P. Morgan Chase, where she managed the international grantmaking strategy of several foundations with approximately USD $1.5 billion in assets. Yemi continues to advise blue-chip non-profits operating in the arts, education, and social service sectors.
At Brown, she serves on the President’s Leadership Council and has served on the President’s Advisory Council for Internships, as co-President of the Brown Club of Northern New Jersey, and chair of the Alumni Schools Committee in Manhattan. Yemi holds an AB with honors in Development Studies from Brown University and an MPhil. in Modern Middle Eastern Studies from the University of Oxford, St. Antony’s College.

Abigail C. Doft '91 AM'92, P'27
Abby Doft has over twenty years of entrepreneurial and organizational management experience, most recently as General Partner of Terra Nova Advisors and as a consultant to the Healthcare Portfolio of Acumen Fund. This brought her full circle back to an extensive educational background in emerging market development. She is currently a member of 37 Angels and an active investor. Previously, she was a senior executive at TheStreet.com, where she served as Senior Vice President and General Manager. Prior to TheStreet.com, Abby was one of the earliest employees at Martha Stewart Living. Abby received her MBA from Columbia Business School in 1998. Abby is a trustee of Middlesex School and serves on the boards of Yamba Malawi, American Friends of Bezalel, Stand With Us and Kivunim. Abby lives in Manhattan with her husband, David, and their four children.
While at Brown, Abby concentrated in Comparative Third World Development earning both an MA and BA and was a goalie on the Women’s Ice Hockey team. She has previously served on the WLC and as a class officer. She is now on the Board of Brown RISD Hillel.

Anthony Cheng '95
Anthony Cheng is Managing Partner at Anchorvest RE LLC, an alternative asset management firm providing wealth growth and preservation strategies where he focuses on real estate opportunities and advisory services for early to mid-stage ventures. He has over 25 years of operating business experience including founding and taking public an Internet company during the first dot com boom with News Corporation as lead investor, founding and operating a real estate development firm specializing in multifamily housing, and overseeing his family's business which is a Latin America-focused tour and travel wholesaler that has been in business for over 50 years. He is a former McKinsey & Company consultant where he focused on supply chain management and financial institutions.
At Brown University, Anthony earned a dual AB in biochemistry and economics. He has served as a committee chair for the Brown Alumni Association Board of Governors, Co-President of the Brown Club of Los Angeles, and President of the Asian/Asian American Alumni Alliance (A4). He is a recipient of the Joseph M. Fernandez Alumni Leadership Award. Anthony resides in Los Angeles

Anne Marie Darling '93
Ho Ho Kus, NJAnne Marie joined Barclays in April 2025 as Group Co-Chief Operating Officer and Co-CEO of Barclays Execution Services (BX) and is a member of the Group Executive Committee.
As Group Co-COO and Co-CEO of BX, Anne Marie oversees the bank’s global operations, technology platforms, and corporate functions, ensuring the firm runs efficiently and effectively across all markets. She drives enterprise-wide transformation, digital modernization, operational resilience, and productivity initiatives.
Prior to Barclays, Anne Marie was a Partner at Goldman Sachs, where she held numerous senior leadership positions over her 25-year tenure, including Head of the Global Multi-Asset Platform Sales team, Head of Global FICC Execution Services, COO of Global Securities Client Strategy, and Head of Marquee Digital Distribution Strategy.
She served on the Global Banking & Markets Operating Committee, the Firmwide Digital Strategy Committee, and co-chaired the Inclusion &Diversity Committee for Global Banking &Markets. She was named a managing director in 2007 and a partner in 2012.
Anne Marie serves on the Presidential Leadership Council and the President’s Advisory Council on Athletics, in addition to being Co-Chair of the Diversity & Inclusion Advisory Council for Brown University. She is an Independent Non-Executive Director on the Nasdaq Exchange Board, a member of the New York City Executive Committee for Classroom Champions and serves on the Presidential Leadership Council for Columbia University. -
Rajat Dhanda '89
Cherry Hills Village, COMr. Dhanda is a Partner and Global Head of Wealth Management within Ares Wealth Management Solutions, which oversees product development, distribution, marketing, and client management activities across Ares’ investment offerings in the global wealth management channel. Prior to joining Ares in 2021, he was the Chief Executive Officer at Black Creek Group, which he joined in 2016 as President before being named Chief Executive Officer in April 2018. Mr. Dhanda also serves on the Board of Directors for Black Creek Diversified Property Fund Inc. and as Co-President of both Black Creek Diversified Property Fund Inc. and Black Creek Industrial REIT IV Inc. While at Black Creek, Mr. Dhanda led the evolution to a one firm brand as Black Creek Group, and oversaw significant capital raise, acquisitions and developments.
Previously, Mr. Dhanda spent 26 years at Morgan Stanley, where he held a variety of leadership roles, including leading key divisions of their institutional and wealth management platforms, Head of Investment Products and Services for their wealth management division, and serving on the Executive and Operating Committees for their wealth management division. Throughout his career at Morgan Stanley, Mr. Dhanda helped develop strategies for changing regulations and technology to advance the company’s wealth management channels.
Mr. Dhanda serves on the Brown University Real Estate Group Advisory Board. He holds a B.A. from Brown University in Economics and Organizational Behavior Management.

Resa E. Lewiss, M.D. '92
Resa E. Lewiss, MD is a Professor of Emergency Medicine at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, TEDMED speaker, founding member of TimesUp Healthcare, and an award-winning point-of-care ultrasound innovator, educator, mentor, and healthcare designer.
She hosts the Academic Emergency Medicine Education & Training podcast, and her own The Visible Voices Podcast, amplifying content in the healthcare, equity, and current trends spaces. Her writing is widely published in medicine and science journals and the popular press. She has written for CNBC, Fast Company, Harvard Business Review, Nature, the Philadelphia Inquirer, MedPage Today, Doximity, and Slate. Her podcast has been featured in the Guardian, the Philadelphia Inquirer, and the Brown Alumni Monthly. She is co-author of the award-winning business self-help book MicroSkills: Small Actions, Big Impact, (HarperCollins 2024).
Dr. Lewiss earned her MD from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, served as a NIH Howard Hughes Research Scholar, and completed her residency at BWH/MGH Harvard Emergency Medicine serving as chief resident in her final year.
A native of Westerly, RI, and a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the Class of 1992, she concentrated in Sociology Ethno-racial studies, Dr. Lewiss is a Brown Women's Launch Pad mentor, and served on the Brown University Medical Alumni Association, and the Brown Women’s Leadership Council. She is the recipient of the 2024 Brown Alumni Association Brown Bear Award.

Hythem has over 22 years of experience working with and investing in some of the world’s leading technology companies. Since joining TA in 2004, Hythem has sponsored 31 investments across North America, Europe, India and the Middle East, and enabled more than 300 strategic add-on acquisitions for TA portfolio companies. He currently serves on the Boards of Advantive, Appfire, Aptean, Certinia, CSI, Gamma Technologies, Idera, insightsoftware, Kinective, KX, Lumivero, Momentive Software, MRI Software, PDI, Revalize and Sovos.
Before joining TA, Hythem worked in the U.S. and the Middle East offices of McKinsey & Company and in the Investment Banking Department of Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette in New York. He earned an MBA from Columbia Business School, an AB degree in economics from Brown University and a General Course degree from the London School of Economics. Diane M. Elam, Ph.D. AM'84 PhD'88
New York, NYDiane Elam is a retired professor whose career has been dedicated to higher education. In her most recent position, she served as Professor of English and Critical and Cultural Theory at Cardiff University, where she also headed the Cultural Criticism program. Earlier in her career, Diane was an associate professor at Indiana University and an assistant professor at Bryn Mawr College and McGill University. Diane is the author of Romancing the Postmodern, Feminism and Deconstruction, and the co-editor of Feminism Beside Itself.
In addition to her role with Brown University, she is a trustee of Kenyon College. Her areas of focus include environmental studies, budgeting and financial resources, and the overall strategic direction of the school. Diane received her AB cum laude in Biology and English from Kenyon College and earned her MA and PhD in English from Brown University.

Gregory G. Flynn '86, P'20, P'20
Greg Flynn is the founder, chairman and CEO of Flynn Group LP and Flynn Properties Inc. Owning and operating 3,000
restaurants and employing 78,000 people, Flynn Group is the largest franchise operator in the world. Flynn Properties owns and operates office buildings and approximately 100 hotels in the United States and Mexico.Mr. Flynn earned an AB in history from Brown, an MA in American history from Yale, and an MBA from Stanford. He was also awarded an honorary Doctorate of Culinary Arts by the Culinary Institute of America. He serves on the boards of the National Restaurant Association and the International Franchise Association.
He also serves on the Stanford GSB Advisory Council, the Applebee’s Franchise Business Council, and as a Yale GSAS Advisor. He is a past chairman of the Golden Gate Chapter of the Young Presidents Organization, a past member of the Brown University Advisory Council for the College, and a past member of the Board of the Exploratorium.

Kenneth Gaw '92
Hong KongKenneth co-founded Gaw Capital Partners in 2005, and has been its President and Managing Principal. Gaw Capital is a uniquely positioned private equity real estate fund management company focusing on selected markets globally. The firm has raised seven commingled funds targeting the Asia Pacific region since its inception and manages opportunistic funds in the US along with a Pan-Asia hospitality fund, a European hospitality fund and a Growth Equity Fund. In addition, the firm also provides services for credit investments and separate account direct investments globally. It has raised equity in excess of US$23 billion so far and commanded assets of US$36 billion under management as of Q1 2023.
Kenneth joined Pioneer Global Group (224: Hong Kong Exchange) in 1994 and remains to be Managing Director. Notable transactions under his direction include acquisition and repositioning of Pullman Hotel G Pattaya and Pullman Hotel G Bangkok, Thailand; AIA Tower in Macau; and Global Gateway, 68 Yee Woo Street building, Club Lusitano building, Kowloon City Plaza, and the Regent Hotel (previously InterContinental Hotel) in Hong Kong.
Additionally, Kenneth holds directorship at the Hong Kong Thailand Business Council. He graduated with a B.Sc. degree (Magna Cum Laude) from Brown University in 1992 and began his career at Goldman Sachs.

Patricia Gaw '92, P'25
Patricia (“Patty”) Tung Gaw is a Partner at FERA International, an active apparel company that manufactures and distributes snow and leisure brands Fera and Meister and active lifestyle brand GA1NSCLUB. Residing in Hong Kong, she specializes in product development, with a focus on visual appeal and functional fabrics. Patty honed her consumer-oriented creative skills as a New Media Director for ELLE Greater China and General Manager of Hong Kong ticketing company CityLine. She began her career in corporate finance at Goldman Sachs in New York and Hong Kong.
Aside from active fashion, Patty is passionate about integrative health and wellness and holds certifications in Nutrition and Health Coaching. She is active in non-profit organizations Splash and InspiringHK Sports Foundation, both of which provide sports training to under resourced communities.
Patty earned a Dual AB in International Relations and History from Brown. She is a member of the Board of Councilors at the USC School of Architecture

Gary L. Ginsberg '84, P'21
New York, NYGary Ginsberg is a lawyer, American political consultant and corporate adviser, serving as a strategist in both the public and private sectors for more than 25 years. Until 2020, he was Senior Vice President and Global Head of Communications at SoftBank Group Corp. Before joining SoftBank, Ginsberg served as Executive Vice President of Corporate Marketing and Communications at Time Warner Inc. In this role, Ginsberg worked with the Company's senior management team and top executives at its operating divisions on a wide range of corporate matters, with direct responsibility for Time Warner's marketing and communications initiatives.
Ginsberg is a graduate of the Columbia University School of Law, where he was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar. He received his undergraduate degree magna cum laude from Brown University, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. Ginsberg is a member of the Board of Directors of the John F. Kennedy Library Foundation; the Newseum, the national news museum; New Visions for Public Schools; and New York Cares. He is also a member of the Council on Foreign Relations.

David Granville-Smith
Mr. Granville-Smith has served as the Executive Vice President of the MSG Sports, Sphere Entertainment Co., and AMC Networks Inc., since June 2023. Previously, Mr. Granville-Smith served as the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer of A+E Networks, a global media and entertainment brand portfolio, from December 2016 to June 2023, and as A+E Networks’ Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer from July 2014 to December 2016. While at A+E Networks, Mr. Granville-Smith served on the boards of A+E Networks Latin America, Propagate Content, and Vice TV. Prior to joining A+E Networks, Mr. Granville-Smith held various positions at J.P. Morgan Chase Co. (“J.P. Morgan”) and The Bear Stearns Companies, Inc., which was acquired by J.P. Morgan in 2008, from 1991 to 2014, including Managing Director and Head of the Media Group in the Investment Banking Division at J.P. Morgan from 2008 to 2014. Prior to that, he worked in the Mergers & Acquisitions Group at Smith Barney from 1989 to 1991. Throughout his career in banking, Mr. Granville-Smith worked on a multitude of significant strategic and financing transactions for companies in the diversified media and entertainment, television network, content distribution and telecommunications industries. Mr. Granville-Smith serves as a trustee of the Parrish Art Museum in Water Mill, New York.

Abhas Gupta, M.D. '02
Irvine, CADr. Abhas Gupta is a co-founder and chief executive officer at Mabel, an automated marketing platform for healthcare professionals and organizations.
Previously, he was co-founder (in 2017) and CEO at Calyx Health, a healthcare clinic specializing in elder and disabled care. Gupta is a former venture capital professional, serving as principal at Wildcat Venture Partners and partner at venture capital firm Mohr Davidow Partners. Prior to Mohr Davidow, Gupta was a strategy consultant at ClearView Healthcare Partners; and the founder of WikiTestPrep, an online medical licensing test preparation company which he ran from 2006 to 2010.
Gupta earned an ScB in computational biology from Brown and an MD from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Dr. Gupta is a member of the advisory board at Venture for America, a non-profit fellowship program for emerging entrepreneurs.

Rakim H. Brooks '09
Rakim Brooks is a public interest appellate attorney and president of Alliance for Justice (AFJ), a judicial advocacy group and policy coalition. He joined AFJ in 2021 from the ACLU where he was a senior campaign manager in the ACLU’s National Political Advocacy Department. Before joining the ACLU, Mr. Brooks was an associate with the litigation-focused law firm of Susman Godfrey. There, he sued opioid manufacturers, worked to free citizens incarcerated in Dallas prisons at the outset of the COVID-19 pandemic, and filed a Supreme Court amicus brief defending the right of consumers to have an independent Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.
From 2018-2019, he served as a Cochran Fellow at Neufield, Scheck & Brustin. He served as a member of the Biden-Harris transition team after previously serving as a policy advisor for the Treasury Department during the Obama administration. He began his career as a C. Edwin Baker Fellow at the progressive think tank Demos. He also clerked for Justice Edwin Cameron on the Constitutional Court of South Africa and at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and the D.C. Circuit. -
Alexander H. Green '99
Alexander Green is a British/Bermudian entrepreneur and philanthropist known for significant contributions to Bermuda’s hospitality and cultural sectors. He serves as a director of Berco, a family company that owns the Hamilton Princess & Beach Club in Hamilton, Bermuda. Alongside his brother Andrew, Alexander was pivotal in revitalizing the hotel, investing in extensive renovations and curating an impressive contemporary art collection. Neil Parikh is co-founder (in 2013) and director of Casper Sleep, an online mattress and sleep products company that went public in 2020 and was acquired in 2022. He most recently served as chief strategy officer until January 2021, and previously served as the company’s chief operating officer. Parikh began his career in 2012 as a co- founder of Consignd, a virtual consignment marketplace. He is the co-author of the book Better Sleep, Better You published in 2021. Prior to, and during his education at Brown, Parikh conducted research in robotics at NASA for which he holds several patents.

A Class of 1982 graduate of Brown University, Steven R. Jordan excelled both in the classroom as an engineering concentrator and on the football field as a First Team All-Ivy League player and an honorable mention All-American. Selected in the 1982 National Football League draft, Jordan played 13 years for the Minnesota Vikings and was selected for six consecutive Pro Bowls. Upon his retirement, he was the Vikings' all- time leading receiver and ranked third on the NFL's all-time receptions list for tight ends. He held positions with the NFL Players Association and was a nominee for NFL Man of the Year. In 2019, he was inducted into the Vikings Hall of Fame and Ring of Honor.
Concurrent with his NFL tenure, Jordan began an off-the-field career starting with Gilbane Building Co. in the off-seasons and has held a number of construction management and real estate development roles. He most recently served as a human resources director with a focus on diversity, equity and inclusion at Ryan Companies. She is founder and former executive director of the Human Rights Project for Girls (Rights4Girls), a human rights organization focused on gender-based violence against young women and girls. At the helm of the streamer’s Brand and Content marketing practice, Shapiro’s remit included strategy, full-funnel creative services, media, promotions, brand activations, social and cross-company initiatives. Her team was responsible for driving brand awareness and desire across the funnel and Peacock’s world-class content slate, including Originals, Live Sports, Iconic Movies, and Blockbuster Television Series.
Prior to joining Peacock, Shapiro served as Executive Vice President, Marketing & Digital for USA Network, SYFY, Universal Cable Productions (UCP), and Wilshire Studios, where she led the creative oversight and shaped brand and digital strategy. As a marketing and digital innovator, Shapiro expertly launched the USA Characters Welcome brand that kept the cabler #1 for over a decade, as well as rebranded SYFY to be a genre fan-first platform including the debut of a digital news and editorial destination, SYFY WIRE. She launched and managed both networks' powerful stable of critically acclaimed, award-winning, and popular original series, including Suits, Mr. Robot, The Sinner, Monk, White Collar, Burn Notice, Royal Pains, Psych, Covert Affairs, Battlestar Galactica, The Expanse and The Magicians.
Shapiro is an avid supporter of the performing arts. She served as a founding board member of Roadworks (a Chicago regional theater company) and Scenarios USA, a national organization that empowered underprivileged youth through writing and filmmaking projects. She was just appointed as a member of the Art Institute of Chicago’s Committee on Modern and Contemporary Art and recently joined the boards of Conquer Cancer, supporting physician-scientists making breakthrough discoveries, and CCAP (Careers Through Culinary Arts Program), which provides job training and apprenticeships in the restaurant and hospitality industries.

Amman, JordanAysha Shoman is the founder of Casarabe Pte Ltd., a Singapore-based impact investing company focused on ventures addressing social and environmental challenges. She also serves on the board of the Khalid Shoman Foundation, which supports health and education initiatives in Jordan and encompasses Darat al Funun, an Arab arts organization.
Ms. Shoman received an AB in international relations and old-world archeology and art from Brown University in 2004 and a master’s degree in social enterprise and community development from the University of Cambridge in 2010.

Daryl D. M. Twitchell '93
New Canaan, CTDaryl Twitchell is Managing Partner and Founder of Silver Ridge Advisors (SRA), a global management consulting firm specializing in business transformation and accelerated growth. He has over 30 years of experience in strategy consulting, business operations, and private equity, with prior roles at Lehman Brothers, Citigroup, and growth equity firms Accellerus Capital and FrontLine Capital. Earlier in his career, he was Director of Corporate Strategy at American Express and Consultant at Oliver Wyman (formerly Corporate Decisions, Inc.). Daryl earned his MBA from Yale and graduated Phi Beta Kappa, Magna Cum Laude from Brown with an AB in International Relations and History.
Over three decades, Daryl has served Brown in numerous leadership roles. He currently sits on the President’s Leadership Council (PLC) and the Advisory Committee on University Resources Management (ACURM), and serves as President of the Brown Club of Fairfield County and Co-President of the Class of 1993. His past service includes positions on the BAA Board of Governors, Class Reunion and Gift Committees, Association of Class Leaders (ACL) Board, and as area co-chair for the Alumni Interviewing Program. A multiple-time Commencement Marshal and Chief of Staff in 2024, Daryl has been recognized with three BAA Gem Awards, along with the Leadership and Alumni Service Awards. He lives in New Canaan, Connecticut with his wife, Peggy Bell Twitchell ’93, and their children Emily ’26 and Brian ’29.

Beijing, ChinaLiping received a Master’s degree in Applied Mathematics from Brown University and a Ph.D. degree in Medical Information Sciences from Stanford University. She was a Professor and Director at the Center for Bioinformatics at Peking University, Beijing, China for 15 years and is an Adjunct Professor in Biostatistics at Vanderbilt University. She has won many awards including the China Young Woman Scientist Fellowship, National Distinguished Young Investigator Award, Chinese Science and Technology Award of Young Investigators, and Weiming Distinguished Teaching Award. She served on the Board of Directors of the International Society of Computational Biology, the International Advisor Group of Public Library of Science (PLoS), and the Autism Scientific Advisory Committee of the Chinese Association of Persons and Families Affected by Psychiatric Disorders.

George (Woody) H. Young III '82, P'20, P'23
New York, NYWoody was formerly the President and a Board Member of Solidigm, a flash memory semiconductor company purchased by SK hynix from Intel in 2021. Previous to that role, he served as a Partner and Chairman of Mergers and Acquisitions at Perella Weinberg Partners LLC. He has over 30 years of M&A and investment banking experience.
Prior to joining Perella Weinberg in 2016, Woody was Co-Head of the Global Telecommunications, Media, and Technology group, Vice Chairman of U.S. Investment Banking, and a Managing Director at Lazard. He was previously Global Head of Telecommunications, Media, and Technology at Merrill Lynch. Prior to joining Merrill Lynch in 2008, Woody spent 14 years at Lehman Brothers, where he served as a Managing Director and Head of the Global Communications group. He also served for several years on the Executive Committee of the Investment Banking Division, the firm’s Strategy Committee, and as Chairman of the firm’s Senior Client Council. He began his career on Wall Street as a member of the Mergers and Acquisitions Department at the First Boston Corporation.
Woody was selected as a White House Fellow and served as a special assistant to the Deputy Secretary of the Treasury, where he concentrated on international affairs from 1991 to 1992. He is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and served on its Term Membership Committee for more than a decade. He serves on the board of Frontier Communications, a publicly traded telecommunications company.
He received a Bachelor of Arts from Brown University, a Master’s in International Relations from Cambridge University, and a Master’s in Public and Private Management from the Yale School of Management.
